Great night celebrating with the women's soccer team. There was good food and good people with lots of smiles, laughing, and a few happy tears.
The Field Hockey team enjoyed an end of season meal along with being recognized for their efforts during the season. Thank you athletes for all the hard work you exhibited throughout the season. Congratulations to all our Field Hockey players for the 2024 season. The Coaches Award was awarded to E. Elliott for her efforts. E. Engle was recognized as the team MVP this season. With only one senior on this team...the future looks bright! 🏑 🦀
Another event tonight featuring CAHS students was the Lower Shore High School Art Exhibition at UMES. Out of 5 prizes handed out tonight, CAHS brought home 2 of them. M. Carter was awarded Honorable Mention and H. Carter won "Best in Show". Congratulations to our magnificent artists. Out of 42 total pieces on display, CAHS had 16...by far the most of any school represented in the show! Thank you to our art teacher, Mr. Simpson for his support of these wonderful artists!!
A busy day at CAHS as well had several events happening after school today. Starting with an end of season team meal for the Cross Country and Golf Teams. R. Sterling was named Golf MVP, A. Aalim-Carter was named Cross Country MVP and E. Wise was named Coaches Award for both Golf and Cross Country. Congratulations to all the Golf and Cross Country athletes

The Unified Cornhole teams from Crisfield and Washington Academy and High Schools played today. The Unified sports teams bring comprehensive and regular education students together to play as a team. There are regional and state competitions in cornhole, bocce ball, and weight lifting.

CAHS had a flag football and tailgate incentive yesterday. Thank you to our LST staff for planning and organizing this event. Thank you to our staff who provided treats and thank you to our community organizations who also came out in support.
Congratulations to our Athlete of the Week. Seth was recognized by an opposing team's coach. The coach made a statement that Seth showed great sportsmanship throughout the game, often helping players up and being respectful throughout the game and handshake line. It is always great to hear these kind words from opposing coaches.
Congratulations to our students and staff of the week. Dr. Johnston was recognized by her colleagues for her leadership and mentorship in the ELA department and her tireless work ethic. Dakota was recognized for helping clean up an area in the cafeteria without being asked. She was incredibly helpful and is a role model for everyone in taking pride in our school. Trenton was recognized for being respectful and polite. He is described as a leader and a role model for others. Thank you to our students and staff who continue to make CAHS great!
Mrs. Pat Benner, from NASA at Wallops, came in to speak to interested students about internship opportunities for next summer! An internship can lead to satisfying careers in a multitude of areas.
