Career Connections: 8th grade Academy students from WHS and CHS attended the Finance Park simulation today at the Junior Achievement building. Students learned about financial literacy and fiscal responsibility by visiting storefronts during the simulation
Attention all parents: 8th grade through 11th grade devices will be collected starting on Monday, June 10th. Please make sure your student brings their device, bag and charger for collection. Thank you.
The 9th Grade field trip to Jolly Rogers on Thursday, June 13, is now open to 10th and 11th graders who may wish to go. Permissions slips and money are due by Monday, June 10. See Mrs. Thomas if interested!
ATTENTION PARENTS OF 8TH GRADERS: Permission slips were due Friday for the upcoming Junior Achievement Finance Park field trip scheduled for Tuesday, 6/4/24. Please send in the permission slip tomorrow or write a note giving your child permission to attend. This trip is free to all 8th grade students.

Hosted by Athletic Director Greg Bozman, the Spring Sports Awards were held this evening. Recognitions for JV and Varsity Baseball, Softball, Bocce, and Track & Field were given. Also recognized were those students awarded the Minds in Motion, a recognition of student athletes who maintained at least a 3.25 GPA during the spring season. Congratulations to all athletes!
Students from Ms. Vickie Nelson and Mr. David Simpson's photography and art classes went on a field trip to the Ocean City Art Center and the Salisbury ArtSpace where they enjoyed seeing fine art and photography exhibitions.
Tomorrow, Friday, May 31, band and club pictures will be taken for the yearbook, beginning at 7:30 am in the auditorium.
Senior Joshua Lankford was one of the eighteen winners of the Minds in Motion Scholar-Athlete Scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year awarded by MPSSAA. This award was the first time in the 18-year history of the scholarship that a CHS student has won it He, with his parents, Matt and Jeania Lankford, and Athletic Director Greg Bozman, attended a luncheon today for all the winners, held at the Baltimore Ravens stadium to receive a $1,000 scholarship. Congratulations Josh!

Christ Fellowship Bible Church will be hosting the Class of 2024 Baccalaureate Service on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 6:00 pm. Seniors will be wearing their graduation attire. The community is invited to attend to worship with the Seniors.

The newly formed Quill & Scroll Honor Society recently held its induction for charter members. The honor society was revived after a 48-year hiatus and is advised by Ms. Vickie Nelson, Journalism, Photography and Public Speaking teacher. The society's goal is to address improved communication.
