Somerset County Public Schools Fine Art Department cordially invites students, families, staff and the greater community to visit the 2024 SCPS Fine Art Festival. Student artwork will be on display at the Board of Education Office from April 29 - May 3, 2024, 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Opening night, April 29, 2024 from 4:30 - 6:30pm, will feature performances by the SIS band and choir in front of the Board of Education building. This event is open to the public. Please stop in and view this year's county-wide exhibition of student artwork!
The Outdoor Track and Field will participate in the Kent Island Invitational this Thursday (April 18)!

The Senior and Junior All Shore Band concerts were held earlier this evening at Easton High School. DaJanell Diaz and Isabella McHenry participated in the Senior Band Concert and Conor Keightley Reinhardt took part in the Junior concert. This year marked the 60th anniversary of the Senior All Shore Band Concert and the 45th anniversary of the Junior All Shore Band Concert. Conductors included Dr. Mark Lortz (senior) and Mr. Andrew Spang (junior). Mrs. Heather McHenry is band director at Crisfield Academy and High School. Also included is Washington High School's Noah Vacca. Congrats to all!

The 3rd quarter ended on Thursday, April 11th. All medical and parent notes are due to the school office by Tuesday, April 16th.

Due to flooding in Somerset County, our scheduled School Readiness Fair has been postponed to a future date. More information will be sent out soon concerning another future date for this event. If you need assistance registering your child for PK or Kindergarten, please contact your child’s home school.
Due to this morning's hazardous weather and road conditions as well as the scheduled early dismissal, all classes will be conducted remotely as an asynchronous virtual school day. Assigned classwork must be turned in on Monday, April 15 for the student to be counted present in school unless other arrangements are made with the teacher. All after school activities are cancelled.

Attention all parents interested in having their students participate in dual enrollment classes, especially juniors and sophomores: come out for an information session on Monday, April 15 at the Somerset County Technical High School at 6 pm. Representatives from Wor Wic Community College, Salisbury University, and UMES will be on hand to answer any questions. Dual enrollment classes give high school students the opportunity to earn college credits while in high school!

Congratulations to Mr. Simpson for having two full panels of art work submitted by CAHS students, while most school only submitted 1-3 pieces total! Eight students, two teams, competed in the Regional SeaPerch competition at the Naval Academy this morning. The teams built the Underwater ROV from scratch and was judged based on time, movability and capability.
