Social media threats continue circulating in our area and around the Eastern Shore. These threats have been analyzed by law enforcement and our school safety partners and deemed to be non-credible. As always, student and staff safety is our highest priority. Thank you to our students and families for sharing these social media posts with law enforcement and school personnel. Please continue to do so. You can also report threats to the Safe Schools Tip Line at 1-833-MD-B-SAFE.

The Maryland Center for School Safety released information late last night about a nationwide social media threat that has been circulating throughout communities. SCPS wants to make all of our families aware that this threat has been deemed non-credible by local law enforcement, and schools will continue normal operations today. As always, student and staff safety is our highest priority and we appreciate the outreach from our community on this issue.

For at least the last nine years, CHS band students have been participating in the Band Buddies program, where they visit Woodson Elementary School to talk about the instruments they play to the students there. This week, the program began at Woodson's Back to School Band Night and it piqued the interest of many students to want to learn an instrument. The music program at Woodson is led by Ms. Korinne Jones, and Mrs. Heather McHenry is band director at CAHS. This collaboration is the beginning of building the band through elementary, middle, and finally high school. The CHS students will work with elementary students as needed throughout the school year.

Congratulations to our Golf team for their season best score today and best overall finish! ⛳️
