Dear Crisfield Community,
It is hard to believe that the new school year is already starting. This summer, Crisfield High School staff have been busy doing things, from running one of its largest summer school programs in recent history, to reprogramming student laptops, to deep-cleaning the building.
This year, like last year, will be unconventional. With the eerie sound of the COVID pandemic playing in the background, we are working tirelessly to do everything we can to get students back into what resembles a normal routine. I know many of us have concerns and have anxiety about what this year will hold. As for myself, I am hopeful. I have seen the tenacity of our community first-hand. I often state that Crisfield and our surrounding communities are a breed unto ourselves. We don't let challenges stop us, we let them motivate us. Oftentimes, you can sit on the dock at the depot, and watch as our watermen trudge forward in order to brave the waters to fulfill their catch, unknowing what storms lay ahead. Just as these brave men and women head out with uncertainty on the horizon, we as a school community will do the same. Our staff is willing, and our students are ready.
Items for the upcoming school year:
- Laptop distribution began during Open House. Parents or guardians are required to sign the required laptop forms in person.
- If you were not able to make it to Open House to sign the needed forms, please contact the school and we will do what we can to accommodate you.
- Student schedules were distributed at Open House. They will also be available the first day of school for students who did not receive them.
- Any students wanting to change courses will need to submit a drop/add form during the first week of school.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
