Positive Behavior Intervention Services (PBIS)
What is PBIS?
Positive Behavior Intervention Services (PBIS) is the over arching program designed to teach students how to be positive and productive members of the school community. It is overseen through the CHS department of Learning Support. It is divided in a three tired system:
- Tier 1- General opportunities provided to the entire student community designed to teach and reward students positive behaviors and work practices.
- Tier 2- individualized interventions for students who may need additional assistance in learning social, work, and academic skills.
-Tier 3- Intense supports designed for students with the greatest need of assistance.
